INTRA ASSEMBLY ACTIVITIES 2024-25

 

INDEPENDENCE DAY, Date: 13 AUGUST, 2024

“May the spirit of patriotism and love for our country lead you towards a brighter future”
The Independence Day assembly was conducted by Class II on 13th August 2024 with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor.
The assembly began with a patriotic song and dance which left the audience deeply moved with the feeling of patriotism.
Students also presented patriotic skit which portrayed few important events from the freedom struggle of some of the freedom fighters.
To conclude the assembly, Principal ma'am encouraged the students to uphold the values of freedom, responsibility, and unity.
The assembly ended with the rendition of the National Anthem, instilling a sense of pride and unity among all present.

On the occasion of Independence Day a special assembly was conducted by the students of Class II on 13.8.24. The assembly consisted of a song ‘Hum honge kamyab’ to inculcate the feeling of patriotism. The event was enlightened by a beautiful dance performance by the students. A skit depicting the struggle of the Indian freedom fighters was a heart touching one.
Overall the whole assembly was filled with the patriotic air leaving everyone feel proud of the nation.

EARTH DAY CELEBRATION, Date: 22th April, 2024

"The Earth is what we all have in common” - Wendall Berry
The Earth Day celebration at DPS Sec 122, Noida, was a testament to our collective commitment to protecting the planet and preserving its natural resources. The event aimed to educate our young learners about the significance of protecting our planet and instil a sense of responsibility towards the environment.
Through a series of engaging activities and initiatives, students not only learned about environmental conservation but also became the lifelong advocates for saving the planet.
● The tiny tots of Pre nursery sowed seeds in a diya planter and took the saplings home. Different ways on how we should take care of our nature and what needs to be done to preserve it, was explained to them with the help of a video. They were engaged in an interesting art activity in the art file.
● The students of Nursery enthusiastically participated in various activities to commemorate our benevolent Mother Earth. A power point presentation was shown to apprise them about the importance of Earth Day and to motivate them to protect our planet. A video was shown which highlighted the motto “We must love our Mother Earth as we would love ourselves.” It also helped them understand about how their small efforts can bring a huge change. Students were asked to follow simple routine like switching off electricity when not in use, saving water while brushing and many more, which would help in bringing a positive change. They also did colouring in the picture of Earth and made a meaningful poster that encouraged them to conserve our precious Earth which they took home as a take away.
● Students of Prep came together to celebrate Earth Day, emphasising the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability. They were engaged in a discussion on how to protect our earth, through which they learnt about the importance of planting trees and other ways for a healthy and green environment. A collage was also prepared in the class where student pasted pictures depicting why Earth is happy or sad by pasting appropriate pictures. Earth Day Colouring Competition was also organized for the students where they were able to showcase their imagination, choice of colours and creativity.
● Little Dipsites of class 1 enthusiastically participated in an array of activities to commemorate the special event. A power point presentation was shown followed by a thoughtful discussion about the various environmental issues and how all of us can make a difference by making small adjustments in our daily rituals and habits. Children tore and pasted blue and green paper on the picture of Earth in their Art file. The purpose of this activity was to inspire students to make Earth a better place to live and raise awareness to protect the environment. ‘Planet Protectors’, a colouring competition was also conducted in the classes. Children promised to keep the environment clean and make it a better place to live.
● A special assembly was organized on 16 th April 2024 by the students of class II. A meaningful song, dance and a nukkad natak was presented to spread awareness about global warming and the importance of saving earth and its natural resources. Children also took a pledge to save Mother Earth and to make it a better place to live. On this special occasion, Principal Ms Vibha Singh emphasized on the imminent need to practice measures to restore nature and build a healthy planet. She urged the students to be more responsible and caring towards our environment. A Best Out of Waste competition was conducted in class II where children got eco friendly materials and made useful products by upcycling them. This encouraged and inspired students to maximize usage of all the products available to them in creative ways.
It was a valuable learning experience for our young learners, inspiring them to become future stewards of the environment. The day ended on a happy note and children pledged to “Save Earth”.

INTRA ASSEMBLY ACTIVITIES 2023-24

 

DUSSHERA SPECIAL ASSEMBLY, Date: 27th October, 2023

Festivals are the period of celebration and bring joy for everyone. Dusshera is one of the most significant festivals of India which gives the message that goodness will always triumph. Keeping the festive spirit alive and to drill in the message of victory of good over evil, a special assembly is presented by the students of Prep E. The Assembly started with the morning prayer by the School Principal, followed by a melodious song sung by the students. The significance of Dusshera was explained by the students. They also presented a meaningful rhyme on which the characters enacted and conveyed the message of victory of Lord Ram over Ravan. The Assembly culminated with the words of wisdom by our Honourable Principal Ma’am wherein she apprised students to leave bad qualities and focus on doing good deeds.
To conclude it was an inspiring day wherein students got to know the importance of our culture and festivals which have a deep meaning behind their celebration.

GANDHI JAYANTI SPECIAL ASSEMBLY BY CLASSES I AND II, Date: 26th September, 2023

Birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Father of the Nation, is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October every year in our country. To commemorate this important National Festival , a special assembly was organized by the students of classes I and II to showcase the life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi on 26th September,2023.
The assembly began with a meaningful thought and gave an insight on how Gandhiji led the nation towards the freedom. The students sang Gandhiji’s favourite Bhajan and presented an inspirational skit to display some important events and incidents from his life. The students beautifully enacted the “Dandi March“. The assembly culminated with a foot tapping dance and the words of wisdom by Principal Ma’am. She urged the students to adapt the values of Gandhiji and to keep their surroundings clean.

JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION, Date: 6th September, 2023

“Haathi Ghoda Paalki Jai Kanaihya Laal ki"
To commemorate the birth of Lord Krishna the auspicious festival of Janmashtami was celebrated with great pomp and show by the students of Nursery and Prep on September 06, 2023.Special Assembly was organised on this occasion. The students sang a melodious song and showcased the life of Lord Krishna through a mesmerising skit. They also performed a foot tapping dance which was enjoyed by all. The significance and importance of the festival was discussed with PPT and stories narrated by the class teachers in all classes.
Tiny tots of Nursery decorated the mukut by pasting sequins and stars and then wore it with great pride.
Little ones of Prep enjoyed making a flute which was taken as a take away.
Students of class I made peacock armband and decorated it with sequins and glitters.
All students of pre-primary classes looked cute as they came wearing traditional attire of Radha and Krishna. Their bright and cheerful faces lit the festive aura with spirit of love, faith and devotion.

RAKSHA BANDHAN ASSEMBLY, Date: 30th August, 2023

A well planned assembly was conducted by the students of class 1 on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. The assembly commenced with a morning prayer and a beautiful song to celebrate the special bond between a brother and sister. It was followed by a speech about the significance of this pious festival. The students also presented a small skit in which a young girl tied a rakhi on her brother’s wrist and went on to enact how the ritual of the festival is performed. The essence of rakshabandhan was further conveyed through a beautiful poem. All the kids participated with great enthusiasm and zeal. The Principal, Ms. Vibha Singh addressed the gathering, talked about the importance of this festival and appreciated the performance of students.

EARTH DAY ASSEMBLY, Date: 18th April, 2023

"Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's needs but not every man's greed." - Mahatma Gandhi
A well-planned assembly was conducted by the students of class 1A on the occasion of Earth Day. The assembly commenced with the morning prayer and a meaningful quote by Mahatma Gandhi. It was followed by a mesmerizing skit highlighting the measures that we can take to protect the environment. Children also pledged to save the Earth and make it a better place to live. Each child was given an opportunity and platform to perform. All the kids participated with great enthusiasm and zeal. The assembly concluded through a strong message by the Principal, Mrs Vibha Singh that ‘Earth does not belong to us, we belong to the earth’.

First Cultural Fiesta, ’A Child’s Wish’, Date: 23 and 24 December 2022

Amidst sparkling lights and a myriad of hues, the first cultural fiesta of Delhi Public School Sec 122, Noida took place on 23 and 24 December 2022, wherein the first in-house production – ‘A Child’s Wish’ was brought to life on stage through an amalgamation of graceful dances accompanied by theatrical presentation by the children of Nursery to Class II.
The school put up a specially constructed stage, with exceptional lighting and sound effects and an LED screen portraying the backdrop of each scene. Coupled with live play, music and dance, the ambience was electrifying and provided the perfect atmosphere for the audience to ponder upon their duty to save the environment for the future generation.
Dr Hari Krishan Paliwal, IAS, Advisor to the Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh and Member of Managing Committee DPS Sec 122, Noida graced the occasion as the chief guest on 23 December 2022. In his address to the audience, he put a stress on imparting the value of empathy to the children.
The chief guest on the second day was Padma Bhushan Shri B. K Chaturvedi, Chairman Managing Committee DPS Sec 122, Noida. The guests of honour were Dr Vibha Chaturvedi, Rtd Professor, Delhi University and Dr Kiran Datar, Ex Principal of Miranda House and Member of Managing Committee DPS Sec 122 Noida.
Welcoming the elite guests, Principal Ms.Vibha Singh threw light on the school's constant endeavour to give each student an equal opportunity to participate in constructive activities and events through-out the year that instills confidence and a feel good factor in them. The programme began with the lighting of the lamp, followed by an enthralling song, presented by the talented school choir. The crowning glory of the day's programme was the play 'A Child’s Wish', an impressive presentation based on the concept of spreading an awareness about the importance of saving environment. The programme drew to a close with the vote of thanks proposed by the Headmistress Ms Anuradha Ganguly. The standing ovation, as well as the smile on the faces of the content audience, was a testament to the massive success of the event that left the school echoing with the sound of applause.

 

Grade Prep A to D
Deepawali Celebration, Date: 18th October

The festival of Deepawali is an occasion to dispel the darkness and replace it with the light of hope and knowledge. To add to the festive fervour Class Prep, the students of Delhi Public School, 122 presented a special Assembly on Diwali on 18th October 2022.
The programme commenced with an address by the school Principal, wherein she emphasised on celebrating eco-friendly Diwali followed by a brief description of the festival by the students.
The students of Class Prep welcomed everyone with a mesmerizing song on Diwali. They also presented a short skit depicting Lord Rama’s return to Ayodhya after vanquishing Ravan in a battle. The Assembly came to an end with a group dance performed by our tiny tots. The audience applauded the foot tapping group dance by our proficient young dancers.
The special Assembly presented by the Prep students was a fine composition of dance, drama and music showcasing Indian values and traditions which was enjoyed by one and all.

 

Happiness, 14th October [Class II-B]

Class Assembly is an important slot in the school day as it prompts learning of the highest order and reinforce positive attitude. Class II B conducted the assembly on 14 Oct 2022. The topic for was ‘Happiness’ . The assembly was well planned and started with the prayer by Principal Ma'am. It was followed by choir, thought for the day, skit, news and current affairs, quiz and speech by Principal Ma'am. The Assembly was concluded with National Anthem.

 

Discipline, 27th September [Class I-C]

The dipsites of class 1 C conducted an assembly on the topic Discipline on Tuesday, 27th September’2022 in school amphitheater. It was organized with the aim to motivate all the students about the importance of Discipline in their lives. The assembly was attended by all the sections of class 1 and 2. The assembly started by the invocation of the Almighty by reciting a prayer followed by the choir, thought for the day, skit, news and quiz. The students participated in the assembly with great enthusiasm and zeal. The Principal, Ms. Vibha Singh addressed the gathering and motivated the students with her encouraging words of wisdom. The assembly culminated with rendition of the National Anthem.

 

Kindness, 16th September [Class I-B]

The Class assembly of 1B was conducted on 16 th September 2022 Topic of the assembly was Kindness.
The Assembly started with morning prayer rendered by the Principal Madam Ms. Vibha Singh which was followed by the choir group who sung the melodious song “ Sab ka bhala karo “. It proceeded further with thought of the day and small talk show on kindness by the students of 1B. A small skit demonstrated by the students in which it was displayed how the small act of kindness can change the life of an individual. News update by the students. A quiz based on the topic of the assembly and news update was conducted.
The epilogue involved the principal Madam briefing the students about the assembly topic and encouraging students about the performance.

 

Believe in Yourself, 13th September [Class I-A]

A well-planned assembly was conducted by the students of class 1A on the theme "Believe in yourself" with an aim to highlight the importance of hardwork, determination and perseverance in our life. The assembly commenced with the morning prayer and sharing a beautiful quote by Swami Vivekananda ji. It was followed by a mesmerizing skit and quiz. Each child was provided an opportunity and platform to perform. All the kids participated with great enthusiasm and zeal. The Principal, Ms. Vibha Singh addressed the gathering and shared her words of wisdom.

 

Truthfulness, 30th August [Class II]

The class Assembly is always an important part of the school culture as it encourages personality development and public speaking skills and co-curricular activities. Class II C Conducted the assembly on 30 th Aug 2022, topic for class II C was ‘Truthfulness’. The assembly was well planned and started with the prayers by the Principal Ma’am. It was followed by choir, thought of the day, skit, news, current affairs , quiz and speech by Principal Madam. The Assembly was concluded with the National Anthem.
