Stressing the importance of mental well-being, the session incorporated relaxation techniques such as deep breathing and mindfulness. January 29, 2024	Ms. Roli Mithal		Ms Roli Mithal with 4 other teachers of DPS Schools	Zoom webinar	Topic: Best Practices in Teaching (Early Childhood Education) It was one of a kind workshop organized by HRDC, DPSS, wherein five teachers from various Delhi Public Schools across India shared their best practices in teaching different topics. The workshop emphasized adopting a holistic approach, addressing not only academic but also social, emotional, and physical development in young children. Strategies such as play-based learning and interactive activities were highlighted to create a comprehensive learning environment.While acknowledging the role of technology, presenters urged caution in its use, emphasizing a balance between traditional and technological teaching methods. Integrating different subjects was encouraged to enhance learning experiences without compromising the essential hands-on and social aspects of early childhood education.The importance of incorporating many leaning tools and collaboration between educators and families contribute significantly to a child's overall development and success in the learning process.

The training program covered a wide range of topics related to sketching ,painting and modern art. The techniques and tools were briefly discussed and practically demonstrated by the experts in the respective fields. The workshop also focused on the methodology how we can use the art to integrate with other subjects at primary and high levels .

December 03, 2022	Ms.Nidhi Sharma Ms. Ritu Prasad		Ms. Prakriti Srivastava	LPS GLOBAL SCHOOL, Sector 51, Noida	The workshop was conducted by Oxford University Press India and the aim of the workshop was to guide the teachers how to go about academic processes in New Education Policy 2020 and Implementation in schools. The resource persons started the workshop with short and crisp explanation of the meaning and application of NEP. Since the resource person has done her specialization in ‘Left and Right Brain Teaching Methods’, ’Multiple Intelligences’, ‘Experiential Teaching Methods’ and ‘Creative and Activity teaching Methods’, so more emphasis was laid upon how to identify, treat and engage the left side brain dominant and right side brain dominant children. For that she suggested different types of activities for children, some disciplines have to be followed by teachers and parents like not to scold the child so many times by different persons at school or home for the same reason. She also gave some ideas of lesson plans which should be short and crisp. She also explained why some children are not liking some subjects when they go in higher classes but are force to study the same. So here how NEP is helping those children in choosing the subjects of their choice. She emphasized on STEAM AND SHAPES. The resource person made the training interesting by incorporating many icebreakers and activities into it. She concluded the workshop with a thought that as teachers we need to appreciate every child as every child is different and never label a child. One very important change suggested by the trainer in the end of the workshop was to start appreciating children who are kindhearted and helpful rather than only the one who are good in academics.

NEP also aims at achieving Universal Foundational Literacy and Numeracy in schools and quality education including vocational education. Various activities were planned to make the workshop interactive and informative. The workshop ended with group activity done by the teachers on the various topics given by the resource person.

Dps Knowledge Park V	Topic- National Curriculum framework for early childhood. The workshop was conducted about efficient utilization of available resources and materials. It was emphasis that one doesn’t need to wait for most favorable situations and the availability of best of the resources. However, they can initiate change any time. One needs to take the lead and embark on a journey of transformation with the available resources. One needs to work on honing their own skills before influencing the peer group. The learning should be age appropriate, prioritize and hands on rather than lecture method. Enhance the efficiency of the facilitator by using digital resources and making weekly planners. It was proposed that the over dependence on digital resources should be managed and the traditional learning resources should be efficiently utilized. Keeping the same objective, the activities should be rotated. It was emphasis that phonological order of tutoring should be encouraged. The session was concluded with participants taking part in making a few activities like pocket train, finger puppets, sound and symbol train.

The trainers emphasized on the fact that a child started performing from the day he/she is born. Completion of each milestone of a child’s life cycle is a progress and measuring that progress is another important factor. They stressed on the inculcation of moral values & discipline in students from the beginning.
