STORYTELLING SESSION OF HT PACE LITFEST, 24th July, 2024

The Hindustan Times organized a captivating storytelling session aimed at celebrating the art of storytelling and its profound impact on communities. Held at Ahlcon International School, Mayur Vihar, Phase-I on 24th July, 2024 The event brought together a diverse audience eager to dive into narratives that resonate across cultures and generations.
Our two students participated in the same session.
The event commenced with a warm welcome by School Management Team, setting the tone for the event filled with values of story narration. The stage was graced by storyteller Mrs. Prasad, shared her unique narrative that ranged from folklore to personal experiences. A small skit was also performed by the school students which gave us the shades of different kind of book like adventure, humor, fiction, non-fiction and mystery. The session was not just an event but a celebration of the human spirit through narrative. It reinforced the power of stories to bridge cultures, inspire change, and foster empathy among individuals.

February, 2024 Students of classes IV to VIII Renu Goyal DPS 122 Noida Topic: Study Smart: Techniques to get good grades in examinations.
The session centered around equipping participants with effective techniques to excel academically. Students were guided through a diverse set of strategies, including personalized day planning, efficient revision methods, and improved answer-writing skills for exams. Stressing the importance of mental well-being, the session incorporated relaxation techniques such as deep breathing and mindfulness. Recognizing the role of nutrition, participants were advised on maintaining a healthy diet to optimize cognitive function. The significance of taking short breaks, or "Brain Breaks," was highlighted to prevent burnout and enhance productivity. The workshop embraced an interactive format, integrating activities, quizzes, and group discussions, fostering engagement and peer-to-peer learning. Participants left the session not only with a comprehensive understanding of effective study methods but also with practical tools to implement in their academic journey, making it a valuable resource for those striving for success in examinations.
July 19, 2023 Students of class V Resource Persons: Ms Ananya and Ms. Aarohi School Puberty and Adolescence Trainers guided the students on being healthy, to be involved in yogic exercises, physical activities and leading a healthy lifestyle. A separate session was organised for girls mainly related to menstruation and management of feminine hygiene. The session for boys covered bodily changes during adolescence and about good touch and bad touch to let them understand and embrace the changes they might experience during this critical stage of life.

Content:
Videos showcasing various bullying forms and impact.
Interactive PPTs on do's and dont's in bullying situations.
Discussions promoting being an upstander.
Poster-making session against bullying.
Engagement:
Students actively participated in discussions and creatively expressed anti-bullying messages through posters.
Outcomes:
Heightened awareness of bullying and its impact.
Empowered students to prevent and address bullying.
Positive shift observed in attitudes toward bullying within the school environment.
September - October, 2023 Students (Class III- Class V) School Counsellor (Renu Goyal) DPS 122 Noida Objective: Objective: Educating students on safe and unsafe touches. Content:
● Engaging and age-appropriate videos were screened
● PPTs reinforced concepts and personal boundaries.
● Interactive quiz session to test understanding.
Engagement:
Students actively participated in the workshop by asking questions, sharing their experiences, and engaging in the quiz segment, showcasing a strong grasp of the subject matter.
Outcomes:
● Increased awareness of safe and unsafe touch.
● Empowered students to identify and seek help in uncomfortable situations.
